Blame It on a Black Man
(Verse 1)
Bills stack high, and the rent is due,
They point fingers, but they never tell the truth.
The struggle’s real, but they act like they don’t know,
They’ll find a reason, find someone to throw.
When the storm comes, and they can’t stand tall,
They’re quick to blame, they don’t care at all.
You see the weight that they don’t want to bear,
And suddenly, the burden’s everywhere.
(Chorus)
Blame it on a Black man, that’s what they do,
When the world’s on fire and nothing’s new.
Blame it on a Black man, carry the weight,
When the chips are down, it's never too late.
Blame it on a Black man when the bills are due,
But we rise, no matter what they try to do.
(Verse 2)
Work twice as hard, just to stay in the game,
But they don’t see the hustle, only want to shame.
Pointing fingers when the times get rough,
But we keep going, cause we’re built tough.
They don’t want to talk about the cards we’ve been dealt,
But they blame us for the pain they felt.
We stand strong, never back down,
You can’t hold us when we’ve been crowned.
(Chorus)
Blame it on a Black man, that’s what they do,
When the world’s on fire and nothing’s new.
Blame it on a Black man, carry the weight,
When the chips are down, it's never too late.
Blame it on a Black man when the bills are due,
But we rise, no matter what they try to do.
(Bridge)
But we know the truth inside our bones,
No matter what they say, we stand alone.
We built the city, we built the dream,
Yet they still find ways to tear the seams.
But the spirit's strong, you can’t take that,
We rise above, and that’s a fact.
So blame us if it helps you sleep at night,
But know we’ll always keep up the fight.
(Chorus)
Blame it on a Black man, that’s what they do,
When the world’s on fire and nothing’s new.
Blame it on a Black man, carry the weight,
When the chips are down, it's never too late.
Blame it on a Black man when the bills are due,
But we rise, no matter what they try to do.
(Outro)
Yeah, blame it on a Black man if you need someone to blame,
But we’ll keep standing, unafraid and unashamed.
Blame it on a Black man, that’s all they know,
But through the pain, we’ll continue to grow.
Allow me to explain this video. The message is clear with the firing of "Diversity Executives" and many others. "Blame it on the Black Man" is a powerful and uplifting anthem that resonates deeply with our role as leaders in our community. It reflects our responsibility as steadfast guardians, committed to supporting one another through every challenge and adversity. The anthem is not about assigning blame but about acknowledging the burdens we bear as protectors and builders. When the chips are down, it is us who rise, take on the responsibility, and push forward, no matter the obstacles.
As leaders, we carry the weight of our collective history and the struggles of our people. We willingly accept the blame, face the injustices, and withstand the dehumanization that comes our way. In doing so, we are not weakened; we are strengthened. This resilience is what binds us together as a community and as individuals who refuse to be broken.
We may not all agree on the exact path or the strategies to achieve our goals. Diversity of thought and perspective enriches us. However, we are united in the ultimate mission—to uplift, build, and protect our community. Our shared goal transcends individual differences, and we know that we will shape a stronger, more unified future for our people by standing together.
In this light, "Blame it on the Black Man" declares our resilience, unity, and unwavering commitment to our purpose. It is an anthem of pride, strength, and resolve, reflecting the courage to lead and the dedication to protect what matters most. Despite the blame or challenges we face, we will continue to rise, support one another, and ensure that our community not only survives but thrives. Stand up folks.
