North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has seen success this spring with its undergraduate landscape architecture program, graduating its entire senior class with job offers. The graduating class of Landscape Architecture at N.C. A&T has designed a clear path toward future careers.
The program, housed within the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES), has become known for its commitment to helping students find their first job, resulting in a 100% employment rate for the class of 2023.
The program is also notable for being the only majority African American landscape architecture program in the country. Graduates have secured jobs at a range of firms, including Gresham Smith, Design by Destination, and SWA Group.
The program has a history of producing successful graduates, including Walter Hood, a member of the inaugural class in 1981 and a recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Grant.
