STEM City USA is growing its membership, one city at a time

STEM City USA is growing its membership, one city at a time. Last week, the city in the sky added a new digital community focused on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) education to help close the digital divide.

William Wells Jr., executive director at aSTEAM Village, announced on LinkedIn that the first building in STEM City Kansas City is now open. STEM City Kansas City is a member of STEM City USA, which incorporates the Black Family Network, La Familia, and First Peoples Journey into a digital village that is open 365 days a year.

"We will be sending out VIP invitations to businesses and service providers to establish their presence in the STEM City Kansas City Metaverse in December 2022, " Wells wrote. "And we will open up the application process for vendors, artists, and educational institutions to have a presence in STEM City Kansas City in January 2023."

According to the statement, the building options for personal suites in STEM City Kansas City, include the new Innovation Town Center, Education & Discovery Center, Community Welcome Center, Professional & Financial Center, Multicultural Center, and Health & Wellness Center.

STEM City Kansas City's digital environment is being developed similarly to the virtual commercial real estate development projects in STEM City USA, offering spaces for visible access to participating sponsors and content creators.

Content will be also delivered through different experiences - from networking opportunities to enjoying live musical performances. At STEM City USA, content is distributed through STEM City Public School, STEM City Health and Techutrition, the STEMulating Lounge, Hall of Fame, Tribute Hall, Hi-Tech Sunday, STEM City Career Center, STEM City Seminars, and STEM City Auditoriums.
