Over the course of her career, Andrea Blackwell has grown from a junior front-end developer with a specialty in using tech in education to a dynamic full-stack senior developer. During the past four years with Booz Allen Hamilton, she has supported critical roles for the defense department.
Her growth with Booz Allen started with designing secure mobility solutions for technology usability as a product in sensitive environments. Within a short time, she was able to implement fixes, develop requirements existing in the product backlog, and began mentoring junior staff on proprietary software that allows agile project management
Her evolution as an engineer positioned her as a full-stack developer on the DataLabs team, where her leadership has been recognized with multiple awards for impact in client engagement roles.
Andrea earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in technology in education. She has served as an adjunct instructor in educational technology, math, and technology departments.
