Veldesta B. Evans is a senior manager at Northrop Grumman. She has over 22 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, federal agencies, and the private sector. Throughout her career, she has also volunteered for social programs and will be recognized with a Community Service Award at the 2022 BEYA STEM Conference for her dedication.
Veldesta has been an integral part of the many successes within technical programs that have spanned the United States, Japan, Australia, and England. Currently, she leads an engineering and sciences team within Northrop Grumman Missions Systems to include emerging technologies for leadership in network information structure intelligence and sensing solutions engineering.
"Veldesta does more than just function as a leader for the Northrop Grumman community," said William T. Lidane of Northrop Grumman Corporation." With the tireless work that Veldesta puts in, she clearly demonstrates that she is an incredible asset to the community as a whole.
Veldesta is active with employee resource groups, supports initiatives that enhance the corporate culture, and works in a mentorship capacity to support new employees. Her contributions also include being an active NAACP member of the Loudoun Chapter in Virginia and serving as a judge for local/regional science fairs, and in a youth ministry at her local church.
