Abdallah Diagne Headshot
Abdallah Diagne, Ph.D., is a research investigator at Corteva Agriscience. After receiving his doctorate in synthetic organic chemistry from Northwestern University in 2017, he joined Corteva as a member of the crop protection discovery chemistry group. Since then, Abdallah has been engaged in cross-functional collaboration to drive the development of next-generation products. He has been central to the success of a new insecticide molecule that is progressing through the Corteva Discovery pipeline.
Abdallah is also an active participant in business resource groups (BRGs) at Corteva, including the Professional Learning Acceleration Network (PLAN) and the Global African Heritage Alliance (GAHA).
"Despite only being with the company for a few years, he has already contributed to the Corteva pipeline through his innovative and creative research," said Dr. Martin Walsh of Corteva Agriscience. "Furthermore, he has leveraged his position within the local ACS [American Chemical Society] section to impact his community in positive ways.” Dr. Diagne will receive a Most Promising Scientist Award at the 2022 BEYA STEM Conference.
