It's less than 20 days to the BEYA STEM Conference, and this weekend's podcast episode fittingly features a 2022 BEYA honoree. Please join Career Communications Group's High-Tech Sunday podcast hosts as they sit down with Professional Achievement Award winner Roderick K. Jackson, Ph.D., to discuss investing in a clean future.
Dr. Jackson is the laboratory program manager for buildings research at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), which focuses on creative answers to today's energy challenges. He came to NREL from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he was a group manager for building envelope systems research. At NREL, he sets the strategic plan for the building portfolio while working closely with laboratory management. He is recognized as a Distinguished Member of Research Staff. In addition, he is serving a three-year appointment to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) Research Advisory Board, which began in 2021.
Jackson has been a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers and received several awards, including the National GEM Consortium Alumni of the Year. He was also listed as part of the Greater Knoxville Business Journal's "40 under forty" for leading a research effort that established Alabama Power's Smart Neighborhood.
