Uplift, Inc. will announce on January 11 the number of Detroit residents that have enrolled in a free Introduction to The Internet of Things (IoT) class, part of the Cisco Networking Academy program launched in December.
The Introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT) class will help residents learn more about the IoT, obtain industry accepted certifications, and prepare for IT jobs in cybersecurity, networking, and computer programming.
The January 11 announcement will be made at Detroit Public Library-Parkman Branch Technology Literacy Center 1766 Oakman Detroit at 12 noon.
Uplift, Inc. is looking for 5,000 Detroit residents to attend this and other free Cisco Networking Academy classes offered in 2018.
The course is available anytime, anywhere and can be supplemented by Experiential Learning Labs at seven Detroit Public Library locations for those needing assistance with assignments. These classes lead to IT job certifications.
