The Patriots Technology Training Center has announced its participation in the pre-college workshops during the 2024 BEYA STEM Conference, which will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center on West Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
These workshops are designed to help students progress through their educational endeavors and careers.
At the BEYA STEM Conference, student attendees will benefit from dynamic sessions presented by industry partners of the Patriots Technology Training Center. The STEM Carnival will also be available, consisting of more than twenty hands-on interactive exhibits.
The Patriots Technology Training Center, a non-profit organization founded in 1997, is now in its 25th year of operation.
Their mission is to secure the pipeline for careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by providing virtual opportunities for students in grades 5-12 in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, New York City, and Detroit, MI.
Membership includes access to the Patriots/National Society of Black Engineers Jr. Chapter.
For 25 years, they have been empowering students through technology to increase the number of students entering into STEM fields, ultimately leading towards college education and career paths in these fields.
The Patriots Technology Training Center program includes a Youth Summit on Technology, Summer Camp, and the Patriots STEM Carnival.
They also engage in various competitions, including amusement park design, biology/chemistry/math, biomedical, cybersecurity, flight simulation, lego robotics, science bowl, solar system, hackathon, and video design. Their students have attended the Regional and National Society of Black Engineers conferences.
The pre-college workshops during the 2024 BEYA STEM Conference will take place on February 16, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm EST at the Baltimore Convention Center.
