Ademola (Peter) Adejokun is a cyber system security engineer senior staff at Lockheed Martin. He is responsible for applying a collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify cyber solutions.
While at Lockheed, Peter has become integral to college department committees and a system engineering research center. He also serves as Lockheed's representative on an engineering college’s advisory board.
Peter's nominee for a Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA) praised his engagement with students in the local Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) chapter in Fort Worth, Texas, where Peter encouraged technical presentations. He has also engaged student chapters of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
Over the past 18 years, Peter has been a role model for students, faculty, university administration, or professional associates. Here's what a senior fellow who works at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company had to say:
"Over the past three years, I have worked closely with Peter as a sponsor and mentor through the Rising Technical Talent (RTT) community within LM Aeronautics. This community consists of hand-picked exemplary technical leaders who have expressed interest in becoming LM Fellows.
"Since I first met Peter, he has demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, technical acumen, and leadership. Peter has distinguished himself among peers and leaders through outstanding teambuilding, STEM outreach, professional society service, and mentoring. Peter is a leader within the RTT community as well, actively volunteering to design and conduct large group training sessions on career development topics. He exhibits a personal commitment to educating and mentoring early-career and developing professional engineers and leaders."
